'Unique and modern with an air of old world charm' is what we said about his style when Anuj Bhutani last appeared here in a double breasted suit after showing his collection at LFW. His style is consistent with that statement and we can only add 'A tailored sophistication' to his approach to clothes.

Street Style Diaries Barcelona - Alexandre Becker

Dressed for summer and groomed for the moment, he looked like a fashion model/ someone definitely in a creative profession,  probably British, making the most of his rare day off in this fabulous Spanish city. Well that was our first impression of Alexandre Becker, he is not a professional model (can't figure why not...) and is not a Brit. A few questions about his whereabouts made us hungry!......

Imagine if the chef manages to put his clothes and appearance together like this on a regular day, how gorgeous to the eyes and divine to taste would be the dishes he plates! Alexandre is a Chef de Cuisine and and lives and works in  Brazil, another paradise of surf and skate, sun & sand and Joie de Vivre!

Alexandre sports the ever trendy undercut hair style that refuses to fade away, with a full groomed-to- perfection Mo-beard. He loves his tattoos and going by the few but intricate artworks he is inked with, looks like he chooses them well and after much consideration. We absolutely love his vintage steel watch.

Alexandre wears a plain white short sleeves T with sleeves rolled up with a pair of cut above the knee, city shorts in black. A red and black tartan shirt tied around the waist is a fine statement in street style and prepares him if he feels like shirting-up. Cool square green tinted Ray-bans and a leather backpack in black, with a black pea-cap hooked to it and a long key pendant chain are his ingredients for garnish! He chooses a Hi-top all white sneakers for footwear, that's been on our Menswear must haves list...go get them.

Gursi Singh is the co-founder of the label Lovebirds along with Amrita Khanna. What drew our attention is his fabulous pair of shades and the whole minimal and clean urban look that he sports. We agree the shoes maybe an unusual choice but hey they are signature "Lovebirds" pair....it might be his lucky pair!

Gursi wears this black T paired with a tailored pair of black trousers. The tailored shacket (shirt+jacket) in beige is an unusual piece, clean and minimalistic. Almost a cross between a waistcoat and a short sleeve shirt, it works beautifully as a layering piece and brings in just a hint of structure to the outfit.

Gursi also shows a fabulous new way to wear the hair undercut style paired with a top man-bun,  pushing the boundaries just a bit with the traditional Sikh style. A neatly trimmed full Mo-beard bring out his personality and are keeping with the clean and sophisticated urban-ism that they showed with the Lovebirds collection.

Not so long ago a formal jacket paired with anything other than a dress shirt and dress shoes would invite bemused glances of disapproval. Its as if one was committing a dressing blunder by breaking the Code. Yes there was a time when Nayaan wearing the shoes he is could be denied entry to a chic nightspot!! Well not anymore!

The MOD

How many men have you seen who can wear the wavy cascading Quiff the way Daniel can? When I spotted Daniel this time, he transported me to the Elvis era, mostly by his hair but also his whole styled look had a rockabilly chic vibe to it that we can spot on the streets of London more easily than Mumbai!

Daniel wears this horizontal striped blue+black shirt with short sleeves and a grand-dad collar, very MOD, as are his black leather brogue tassel loafers, with a pair of his favorite blue skinny jeans with hems rolled up-to the ankles. The traveller

Jagvir Matharoo never seizes to amaze with his sartorial choices of clothing. Jagvir in an adaptation of japanese traditional costume made our heads turn when we spotted him in a well put together bohemian avatar. Its rare to witness men stepping out of their comfort zone and embracing newer silhouettes with such ease and panache. Applaud!

Full facial hair on men has been gaining unprecedented acceptance as the In look for the modern gent globally....most visible in the United Kingdom, we believe. Joggers for both men and women have been gaining massive popularity by each passing season. This piece of clothing usually associated with gym-wear or for just lounging about around the house has been formally accepted as a casual-wear staple. Its not the domain of the sports brands as nike and adidas anymore, almost every mainstream fashion retailer from Topman to Scotch n Soda to Zara has many versions up for grabs. Rightly so for a jogger is high on comfort and looks updated and modern, specially the slim fit one!

Five days Five Looks One Pal - Parfum Dellic - Day 2

Sunday brunch

Last Sunday when rains were still eluding us and it was bright and sunny Parfum Dellic has to go to a Sunday brunch with friends. Given that it was a Mediterranean fare Dellic decided to go for this hot summer trend of White-on-White. A trend that for the adventurous kind has been white washing the ramps from Armani to Jil Sander and Dolce & Gabbana.

Dellic wears this customized pair of white skinnies with printed upturned hem and a white-T with a feline chest print and a dog-tag err cat-tag around his neck. He throws on this very interesting jacket that Dellic got custom tailored with a off-white and black distorted stripes. The shoes are buffed and burnt to desired perfection and the only pop of color is the button and the laces on the shoes.

There are a few pointers however while going for this eye-catching White-on-White summer trend:

• Keep our main ensemble the same shade of white. Don not try mixing shades of white which might not bring out the look.
• A head-to-toe all-white is a bold outfit choice and also spells danger of spills and stains. Offset your outfit by Neutrals, a jacket and shoes in this case. Avoid brights!
• White adds bulk, as long as you are skinny like my pal here you are perfect for this trend. However if you are on the bulkier side stay away from this trend.

Street Style Diaries Mumbai- Armaan Randhawa

Shawl lapels on a jacket are normally seen on tuxedos that one would wear to a black-tie event or on a smoking jacket. The dapper Armaan Randhawa shows us a way to wear it with a casual flair!

Armaan is the designer and co founder of the label 'ARMAAN AIMAN' along with his partner Aiman Agha. Know more about their LIFW Spring Summer 14 presentation here.

He wears his SB(single breast)suit with a plunge neck T in white. I think if a suit is well cut as is in this case you don't need more the a white undershirt to rock it! I love the color Royal Blue, the matte textured weave of the fabric and the contemporary fit, basically everything about it. The length of the trousers is perfect and just grazes his ankles.

He keeps a neatly trimmed mo-beard with the so-now undercut hairstyle with a mild puffed top. A watch, a ring on his thumb and patent leather shoes in black finish off his casual-chic suited look with a shawl lapel.
