Mixing patterns is an art form. Blessed are the ones who can mix and match and carry off the look without a second thought. General Idea, D&G, Louis Vuitton, Etro Menswear have this trend featuring in their look books since 2012. The trend is finally catching on.
Nathaniel here captures the trend while adding a melange layered tee upping style quotient. He teamed a Kurta in hand-loom from Meghalaya with a minimal geometric print pants finishing the look with Roman inspired sandals in tan.A gold watch adds to the sophistication.
Its a perfect Indian take on the modern trend.

P.S When mixing patterns-
1. Try mixing patterns from the same colour family or trying out monotones. Using hues from one main colour when mixing patterns can create a very subtle look.
2. Use textures as solid
Some patterns are small enough and understated that the eye can view them as a solid, even though they are really not.
3. Look for patterns that compliment each other in colours, size , type etc.
4. Avoid head-to-toe in one pattern.
5. Space out the patterns
There is no need to wear a patterned shirt with a patterned tie or jacket.
6. Experiment with combination of patterns in different densities/sizes.
Great tips! I love mixing and playing with patterns.
