Soso On the Street

The one great thing about blogging street style is discovering people with an individual sense of style, capturing them and soak in a bit of their shining personalities. Sometimes its just not clothes; its their aura and personality that draws us to them. Meet Soso, a brave girl walking back from work,(she tends the bar at The Veda at Palladium) with the coolest hair do I have seen in a while on Women; alone at almost midnight. Couldn't help stopping her; she graciously smiled, posed after a hard day's work. Kudos to you Soso. Girl power!1

P.S- Love the ear piercings and strong eyeliner.

Caught my eye - Cool Haircut Spotted in the Local

Sunday, 30 March 2014

This boy was selling his wares on the local train. He was shy at first but then was comfortable about him being photographed. Don't miss the Hawaiian print shirt, so apt for the weather here in Mumbai.

Sand Sculpting for a Cause - For the aid of Cancer Patients

About Sancult:
Sand Cult, originally the brain child of Jerry Jose who is a keen enthusiast of creations in sand created a platform for a bunch of talented yet unnoticed sand sculptors from India. Sand Cult has teamed up with World Masters People's Champion Simon Smith thus acquiring an International edge. Sand art and sand sculptures are new to India though it’s hugely popular in Europe and North America. In India one rarely gets to see sand sculptures for real, it’s mostly only while browsing the internet. But Sand Cult envisage changing this and bringing sand sculptures live to the naked eyes of all people.

Stopping the show was Bollywood beauty Neha Dhupia in a black linen sleeveless long shift layered with a stone square cutwork tulle half wrap skirt.

Sand Cult in coalition with High Street Phoenix and CPAA brings you this unique opportunity to see this master piece through your own eyes. It is made entirely out of just sand and water by World Masters People's Champion, Simon Smith- the Sand Wizard. This sand sculpture will be exhibited in Goa until 31st May 2014 for a noble cause to raise funds for Cancer Patients and support this art. While you can enjoy the sculpture for free, we encourage you to donate generously to show your appreciation towards this art and help those inflicted by cancer.

Caught my eye - The clouds

Wednesday, 26 February 2014

Starting today I am adding a new section "Caught my eye" featuring things that caught my attention.

The day the clouds aligned themselves.

Some days are a pleasant surprise.

Notice the shades of blues.

It was a good day

Shades of green against the blues.

The sun the stars and the sky, all in harmony

It was a beautiful day.

Looking up the sky always makes me feel good.

The aligned clouds.
A pleasant day in the clouds.

The true essence of beauty

In a minute

In a minute

Everyone wants to be someone, achieve their own milestones and get there. To get there you carry along tools that include skill, talent, charm and knowledge. Something is missing? The attire, I consider it the one of the most important tools in today’s professional, social interactions.

We are living in a fast paced world with less than a minute to make an impression. A glance at you; a question to you and you either land the job of your dreams or are put up in a wait list. First impressions speak a great volume. As I read somewhere communication is only twenty percent talking; the rest is body language. A product is as important and attractive as its packaging.

If world is a stage we all are mere performers playing a part and dressing up for it!

Are you dressed for the part?

Watch out for the next post – Must haves this summer.
